I love when I’ve forgotten that I have any tattoos, and then I’m playing around with my webcam and see my bluebird and fall in love all over again.
Anonymous asked: Do you have any tattoos? If you do, what are they and what are the stories behind them?
I’ve described them so many times, and I was just asked by two anons about them so I won’t post them both. Sorry other anon.
This is my bluebird tattoo. It took roughly 4-6 hours total, including touch up time (this is before the touch up, the day after it was done and healing) and was done by Siobhan of Addictive Arts in New Port Richey. It’s for all of the strong women in my family who overcome all of their obstacles, including myself. My great-great-a-ton-of-greats grandma apparently had a bluebird on each thigh “above her thigh highs,” and she was alive in the 1920s, so I figured she was a rather daring and bold woman in her time. Not much has changed in several generations of women. :)
This one is for my best friend. We grew up together with Disney and magic and always believing we could be who we wanted and do what we wanted. But we didn’t want anything obviously Disney, so we took an infinity symbol, added believe, and the two stars are for magic. One blue for me and one green for her. :) We got it done at a shop in Orlando. I don’t remember the name because I don’t reccommend it. I plan on asking Siobhan to connect the e and the v and outlining the stars in black because the artist who did Steph’s outlined hers in black and not mine.
littlemarshmallowqueen asked: 33, 47, and 48. ALSO I know 49, but can I see a picture of it? :]
33. What are you doing right now?
I just ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and now I’m relaxing and tumbling and watching That 70s Show.
47. How many pillows do you sleep with?
Three typically. I have five right now because I made my bed today, though two of them are more than likely to be thrown to the floor in my sleep.
48. Are you missing someone?
I mean, I’m always missing people like my mama and my papa and my best friend because none of them are living in Orlando with me. But as far as romantic stuff, or anything like that, nope. I’ve found something interesting enough here in Orlando, I hope. :)
49. Picture of my tattoos:
That ^ was right after it was finished and before the touch up. I don’t have any better pictures of it though.
This ^ is my second tattoo, maybe an hour after it was done? It’s healing nicely, and I’m going in for the touch up sometime in the next month. :)
sunkissedanchors replied to your photo: So here’s my “rough sketch” via photoshop what I’d…
I like :)
Yay! Someone does! ahaha
I’m sorry I keep talking about it, but I’ve been brainstorming about it in my free time for weeks now!
I’m so excited that I came up with a Harry Potter tattoo that I feel will be unique and intensely personal! I seriously can’t wait to get it! And I’ve decided to put it to the right of my bluebird tattoo. There’s just enough room before my shoulder for me to fit it, and since my bluebird is so symbolic for me that I’ve come to think of it as my spirit animal/Patronus, I feel like it’s kind of right to put it there. And I love the idea of continuing the area, maybe covering or partially covering my arm in a sleeve?
I’m super happy and content with this idea. I can’t wait to talk to my tattoo artist in New Port Richey. I want the style of the Harry Potter tattoo to be similar to my bluebird, so it makes sense for it to be done by the same person. I hope she’s up to it!
I think I’m going to set my tattoo appointment in October, around Halloween.
How fitting, for magic and adventure and castles and the boy who lived! :)
So here’s my “rough sketch” via photoshop what I’d like this framed Hogwarts tattoo to look like. Now just imagine that the frame is more Harry Potter-ish, and there you go. :)
What do you think? I’ll probably have the castle more stylized by the artist I pick, but that’s the general gist of what I want. :)
I am so excited about the picture-framed Hogwarts idea!
Now, where to put it and how big?
I may have finally figured it out!
I CAN get Hogwarts itself as a tattoo-I can put it in a picture frame to make it look right wherever I want to put it! And I can have the picture frame incorporate aspects from the book, like the crest, or the Deathly Hallows, or wands, or owls, or platform 9 3/4…
IT’S GONNA BE SO PRETTY!
Gonna think on it a bit more. But I’m really excited about this.
